Yes, I am being lazy.. I admit that.. anyone still willing to help?

Been awhile since I've done, well, anything. My wife bailed on me and went to the iphone (b***h) : ) Anywho, I am running PE (the last Froyo build) and lately my phone has decide to go awol on me. Turns on and won't turn off unless I do it when I see it (real battery killer there). Because of that, music starts, Bluetooth comes on etc.. cause its hitting stuff in my pocket. It also randomly decies to completely lock up and I have to pull the battery.

I am NOT complaining by the way. Issues arise and we fix them. Such is the way of life.

What I want to know is, ca n I, ans whats the easiest way, to upgrade to the latest PE without losing all my crap? We all acccumulate crap in our lives and we become used to our crap. I am no different. There are things on my phone I'd rather not see go away. I realize I would lose my theme and some of the inverted apps I have. What I want to keep is all of my programs, saved game data, etc...

    Is this possible?

I catch on quick.. all I need is a yes or no and a nod in a general direction.

    Thanks,

    Jason

Never really used that. What I used to do was make a backup of "data only" and then restore that backup after i updated. Don't know if that would work though going from Froyo to GB.

Thanks B-Boy.. I'm in and out. Hopefully (I'll find out soon), I can get life in order at work and get back to actually having free time. Really sucks working 80 hours a week and then getting reemed by my wife to do house and yard work on the weekends. Unless of course she makes plans (like an all day swim meet for my daughter on Saturday and then the Columbus zoo all day today.) As a side note.. it was F'ING hot outside today and yesterday..lol

if i were you i'd back up with titanium and just reinstall the PE you're using.

The gbread PE is beta....and has been beta for a really long time... if we're lucky a new pe will be released somewhat soon....and if so you'd simply have to redo all your work.

Ya TiBU or mybackuppro work well. Or some apps can actually have data saved to the SD card. Just check in the app settings if there's a backup/restore option.

I don't usually do this but try and hold off just a little while longer.. if you don't mind flashing then a week later doing it again then by ll means go ahead but I would highly suggest trying to hold out a little bit longer if you don't like flashing that much, it will hopefully be worth the wait and you won't regret jumping on the gb bandwagon.
