About LinkBacksThis is more of a general android problem than a PE problem. But since that's what I'm running.
Since the introduction of stagefright I haven't been able to play 3g2 video files. They were recorded on my old samsung phone. Bad quality but I would still really like to be able to play them. They were fine on eclair. If I disable stagefright they play.
Is there an alternate video player or a codec I can install or a setting in some config file I can change go get these vids to play?

Anyone know how to get the os to do this natively? It used to in eclair and does now in froyo and gb but only with stagefright disabled.

04-14-2011 06:33 AMStagefright is the new decoder intoduced in froyo. What it also introduced was horrible soumd quality on aac files and loss of playback of some file formats.
It can be disabled but doing so causes other issues.
If u want to give it a try just google "disable stagfright" and you should be able to find some good instructions.
If not let me know and I will write u some.

04-14-2011 02:11 PMI tried this app and it played my 3g2 files. The app is pretty plain but it got the job done.
