4.2 not receiving texts/being notified of texts!

So I am not on 5.0.2, I'm on 4.2. I have not received various texts from people, who have shown me that they have sent me a text and that my phone didn't receive it. Also, I quite frequently don't get notified when I receive texts, its gotten to the point where I have to go into handcent to manually check if I've gotten texts from time to time. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Have you restarted your phone recently?

I've tried many things to no avail, wiping cache, dalvik cache, factory reset, reinstalling the rom, and no matter what the problem persists.

Weird. Mine seems to be working now. However, I keep getting another strange issue. For ex: Someone texts me and then following that, there is a text from me, like it's a reply with the same thing my friend texted me. What the hell is that about? So someone can text me saying, "Hello?" And then all of a sudden I see a text from me to the person saying "Hello?"

Just all kinds of texting problems eh? Haha

I'm starting to think it may be a vzw thing. Elite roms not the only ones having text and mms issues.

No, I don't think its a vzw issue, its been happening way too long, plus sometimes ill recieve the text, I just won't be notified of it. I think its a memory issue.

I'm not receiving all txt and mms from people. It's a mix of both and tried wiping and it still persist. I've always has sms issues with duplication of incoming txt across all roms, but this is the first time I've had issues of not receiving txt & mms
