What are you on (4.2, 5.0.2)

i went back to 4.2 today. 5.0.2 was good but i could no longer multitask with it. if was running pandora and opened another halfway intensive app it would close pandora or either not open the app i wanted. home key was a bit aggravating but i found that if i hit the back key only once then the home key would work great. it was just a lot of small stuff that kept building. the 3g issue was never bad, just enough to be aggravating. 5.0.2 never got laggy with me. so that was a good point for it. either way i hope to see someone continue to develop froyo ROMs it'd be great if it were the PE team.

As of last night I have gone back to 4.2. The force closing of programs, random reboots, and lose of 3G has gotten tiring. I guess my phone just doesn't like it. I do miss the ability to use the Galaxy S notifications (4.2 has it, but upon reboot it goes away until I check the box again).

I will wait awhile and see how the development goes. I will most likely try the next update when that comes out, just to see how it is though.

basically, yes. some people's phones dont encounter the issues, but others do on any of them.

Stayed on 5.0 all the way up to 5.0.2 and ran that for a couple of days. I had the 3G problems... not so sever that it made me crazy, but bad enough. I was getting the notifications pushed across... I think... enough doubt that I didn't want to remain. It was always screaming fast and had minimal FC's.

4.2 remains one of the best Froyo ROMs out there and I'm happy to remain on it until/if someone builds a reliable GB ROM. Then again, I wouldn't complain if PE moved onto another Froyo build.

I too went back to 4.2 ... had some navigation issues this weekend that really pushed over the edge. But the market "hang-up" was aggravating too. Don't think I had the missed calls others had though. But, much like listenman said, it was all the small things that kept adding up.

Now, being back on froyo, I notice a marked improvement with the speed of my market!

I am back to 4.2 also. I did not have the random reboots or missed texts at all. The 2 things that I did have though were the 3G issue which at times would take 3 or more minutes to come back after a call, this was the deal breaker for me, I need my phone to work for my work. I also could not get picture messages which was somewhat annoying but I really don't get many anyway so I could have lived with that. As far as being back on froyo....I really don't see any speed difference at all plus or minus from when it was on GB, both overall ran really well. I think people like to say that they are running on a GB ROM but does it really make much difference? IMO it would be minimal. At least on Android we are the ones who can decide what to run on our phones!
