i'll look into his recovery thanks guys. Just flashed his 1ghz kernel. good stuff so far.
As seems to be a common trend, rz's kernals are running great for me as well. Much cooler and just as fast as slayhers for me. Chevy's run super cool but not quite as smoothly in my experience.
What is a battery temp cut off to where your like whoa my phone is getting to hot. C or F. Stock was running a good temp but battery seemed to drain fast. Just flash rz lv1200 and we will see.
I flashed the RZ lv1000 kernel and it was super smooth/fast but I was not getting the battery life I was hoping for... I've switch back to using the Sapphire kernels here... http://sapphire.ccroms.net/wiki/releases/sapphire-1.1.0 ... super fast like the RZ kernels and really good on battery... plus they stay pretty cool too, currently running the LV125-1000
If your only getting up to around 40 you're good to go. If you prefer lower temps that's fine but I assure you temps lower than 50 are completely safe. Even if they are a bit un-nerving. As as said before. I like to keep mine at 45 or lower but other than that I don't worry to much about it.
I use Chevy's ulv 1.0gz and check CPU temperature w/ setcpu. Always keep it at 40c usually around 30c. Anything above that just feels too hot on the phone.
