Like I posted yesterday on a different thread - In 2007, I came to Verizon from Sprint and was able to keep using a Motorola Razr I had purchased from Sprint, on the Verizon system. That phone was a non smartphone, but it worked perfectly on Verizon for three years - the point that I acquired my first Droid. Originally Posted by unseenme

Comparing that scenario to yours may be a case of "apples to oranges", but it's certainly worth looking into, as long as the carrier your considering is Sprint, or uses CDMA. Don't give up without at least checking.

11-04-2010 07:49 AMI believe that to move a smart phone to Verizon it has to be in their system. You can however flash a droid to one of the cheaper cdma carriers like metro pcs, or cricket. Im not sure about sprint though. Also your droid will not work with at&t or t-mobile as they are gsm networks.

Unfortunately no. ATT which really sucks. i will get another droid soon however. I was playing in Germany and fighting with the ex and it totally ran up my bill. So itll take me a while to pay it down. For the moment thogh ill have to do ATT.
