Changing contacts from phone to google.
I just noticed that all the new numbers I put it my phone, are listed as "phone" and not "google" and are not backing up with my gmail. I can't figure out how to change this or make all my phone contacts back up to gmail as well. Any tips would be great.

They should automatically back up to your primary Google account. Login to your Google account on a computer, and you should see your phone contacts.

Nope they didn't. Any settings that you know that could be screwing this up?

Contacts > Settings > Select Google Account > Sync contacts.

Yeah it's set to sync, but no luck. I guess I can just reenter in the contacts that are associated with phone instead of google.

You may have to clear the sync cache. Do a search on how to do that, I've never had to so I cant help you with those directions.
Good luck.

This was happening to me. When I add a contact the first thing it asks is if I want it under my corporate email account or my GMail account. I only use my corporate mail to send mail so I thought I needed to add under corporate mail. Doing that kept them from showing in GMail for back up. Selecting GMail backs them up and still lets me use them in my corporate mail

Have you found a way to set gmail as the default?
