    ipod touch 2nd gen vs 3rd gen

    Looking to buy an ipod touch for my parents. They only need 8-16 gigs as they are old people and don't have a ton of music. Whats the difference between the 2nd gen and the 3rd gen touch? If I can find a good deal on a 2nd gen, is it worth it? They aren't techies, just want to have some tunes to crank as they drive back from there florida winter home this spring.

    faster processor, speakers/voice control, open gl es 2 support... but not sure if the 8/16gb models have these upgrades... maybe just the 32gb... anyway, you should do some research on your own before deciding

    The 8gb 3rd gen is basically the same as the 2nd gen. The 16/32gb are really the updated ones.
