carbs on cars used to vapor lock when they got hot
Back in the day, I had an Austin Marina that vapor locked on me. Took that thing across country the summer of 79 (boy really dating myself here) when it was record high heat. People were dying in that heat wave. Took me 14 hours to get through Arkansas with that car. Thought I was going to die amongst soy bean fields and 105° heat. To this day, I avoid Arkansas at all costs. Loved that Austin just the same, vapor locking and all.
So apparently, you're bored all the time? Or just when I check in here?
I would love to go on a cross country road trip. And Arkansas heat is pretty terrible. I was up there this summer and it actually got up to 108 a few days.

Just do it, brad. It is an experience you will never regret... even if your mode of transportation vapor locks, stalls, creeps, has to draft to make it to the next gas station...Go for it!
When I retire in MI I'll get two road trips a year.
