IPAD!............................ What a JOKE!

Seriously, look, I happen to appreciate apple products. But what the **** are you supposed to do with this!?

Look, if your going out on a trip or whatever there are two things you might need. 1...you may take your laptop for portable computing. You get to your hotel and boom you have all your computer needs. 2nd... you need your iphone/ipod touch or droid for the ultimate in ultra portability web browsing, phone, documents ect ect. Which allows you to take all you basically need literally any where.

Where does this put the Ipad? it dosent completely erase the need for your laptop and its not a phone and its too damn big to carry with you on a daily basis.

Yes It does look pretty sweet and sleek. However its pointless. If you have a laptop and an iphone or droid or ipod touch you really dont have any need for the IPAD.

I would have been impressed if this thing could do every thing your laptop can do and more.

Yeah really weird that they would use the iPhone OS and not Mac OSX....if it were OSX it would be badass and totally worth $1K.....but a giant ipod touch is just not worth it.

Seriously having MAC OSX on it would have made be drool and whip out my wallet in an instant. This thing had soooo much potential to be a really great device...oh well saves me from wanting to buy another device at least.

I don't have a laptop.
I like the looks of it.
Waiting to see what the new netbooks coming out will be like but right now am seriously thinking about getting an Ipad.

Since it is not a phone, it is basically a smaller portable laptop.

But diehard apple fanboys will grab 'em up anyway.

I have zero interest in the iPhone or iPod Touch, but seeing this and thinking about it for a minute, I could actually see the iPad being useful around my house.

Right now I use my Droid whenever I need to do a quick internet search and when I'm surfing while watching TV. I only use my laptop now if I'm working or absolutely need a larger screen for something.

I could see an iPad-like device with a larger screen and instant on replacing some of my phone usage in my home while offering a better browsing experince due to the larger screen. It would be handy to lay on the counter and read during breakfast and for displaying recipes, etc.

While I think the thing needs a camera of some sort, the lightweight OS, with instant on, is somewhat appealing to me.

I just am not sure how they think having the ability to multi-task isn't important. HUGE selling point for me on the droid. A simple task like listening to Pandora and reading your emails can not be done on the iPad.
