It's so amazing I'm gonna die .
I think 2011 will be THE year for smartphones. First the dual-core androids!!! Then the biggest release of the year, the iPhone 5, then.... who knows!
I think the android dual-cores will force Apple to up their game hardware wise, and then iPhone 5 will force Android to step up their games.... (literally, their games)...
Really Apple's biggest advantage is still the games. I've seen Stuart Ashens review better games than some of the ones on Android!! Hopefully PSPhone alleviates some of the lacking AAA titles.

I was the closest..everyone was 3-4 months off. Don't hate the playa.....hate the game LOLZ
anyway here's some news I picked up from BGR:
"We are hearing that VZ does not want iPhone, the hottest selling smart phone, available on T-Mobile USA and/or Sprint and may be willing to pay for exclusivity to itself and AT&T.”
I have a feeling that VZW is now going to put Android on the back burner. Yeah the Droid line-up will continue but it's pretty clear where their allegiance is going to if this holds true.
We will become the stepchildren : )
Here's something else I found that supports my theory
Here comes another wave of speculation about a possible Verizon iPhone release.
The latest projection comes from Shaw Wu, a senior analyst at investment banking and advisory firm Kaufman Bros, according to Fortune.
On Monday, Wu distributed a report to KBRO clients that seems to support rumors of a 2011 release for the fabled device.
Wu writes that, based on what he has heard so far, Verizon may have to pay dearly to carry the iPhone. What's more, says Wu, "VZ [Verizon] could be more willing to give in to Apple's terms" if a deal indeed materializes between the two companies.
According to Fortune, Wu's note reveals that "Apple's hand was strengthened by the 14.1 million iPhones sold last quarter, the share gains AT&T made against Verizon over the past two quarters, and reports that Google's Android has started 'to lose some of its luster' for Verizon."
Wu also indicated that Verizon would try to muscle out competing carriers, such as T-Mobile and Sprint, that do not already have exclusivity deals with Apple. This means that Verizon "may be willing to pay for exclusivity to itself and AT&T," writes Wu, who adds that for Verizon, Google's Android has begun "to lose some of its luster."
The Wall Street Journal has been reporting that a Verizon iPhone could be slotted for an early 2011 release, with manufacturing set to begin in late 2010. TechCrunch seems to believe that these reports are part of an “Apple-controlled leak.” It is also believed that Apple has ordered millions of Qualcomm mobile processing chips, which are compatible with Verizon’s network but not AT&T’s. However, Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg dampened the buzz about a Verizon iPhone in September, when Seidenberg said, "We don't feel like we have an iPhone deficit. We would love to carry it when we get there, but we have to earn it […] Hopefully, at some point Apple will get with the program."
They really need to fix this mess about plans. With an iPhone coming out that puts a crimp in my plan to get an R2D2 Droid or Droid 2 Global as my upgrade. I dont want to upgrade from a Droid to an iPhone. IMHO that isnt an upgrade at all. I just want an iPhone and I want a newer Droid so I can compare them as often as I like, switch up whenever I want and finally decide in my own mind which one is better. Sadly Id have to use my upgrade to get one phone and then the other would be full price. Why cant I just get both phones for $200 apiece and up my contract two years? They should really put some thought into that. Just let people buy new phones for $200 and renew their contracts, no matter how much time they have left. It isnt that hard and Im sure most people will be happier this way.
