Auto-replacement Key Storkes

Just received my Droid about a week ago. Still learning. I use it for scheduling, To Do List and e-mail. I am finding that it is really a mini-computer. A definite enhancement to my Blackberry Curve, even though that is quite a piece of electronics.

Question: I have observed that there is some type of Auto-converting/key stroke replacement program running. Example: If I type in "Re:<space>", it expands to either "Really:" or "Revere". Does anyone know where the definition to this program is so I can add and modify some of the key strokes?

I'm using a keyboard replacement, but I believe you can do it using the method below:

Settings > Language & Keyboard > User Dictionary > Hit the menu key to add words
