    Ordered my Droid....

Just got the tracking number... sounds like I should have the droid in my hands in about 30 hours...

Anyone step through the self activation yet?
    How easy/difficult?

I've already taken the contacts from my current LG enV, exported them using BitPim - and synced them over to Google Contacts.

Anything else that I should do to be "ready" once the phone is in hand?

Not sure why everyone worries about self activation. If a vzw rep can do it, you can do it better...

Just follow the instructions, either calling *228 or *611. Takes less than 5 minutes.

!!! Welcome to DroidForums knightshade !!!

Looks like you are on the right path. As stated above, Self activation is nothing to be afraid of. Just follow the instructions they send you.

I'd suggest getting plenty of rest now, while you are waiting on your new DROID. Because once you get it, you will fall alseep with it in your hands.
We hope you enjoy your time in the Forums !!!

    Thanks for the welcome!

Droid is in hand and activated...

Still playing with the config, and imagine that will be playing with new apps for a long while ;-)
