Email Help

I am having difficulty receiving my emails. Spoke with a Verizon rep and he told me that having 300 gmail emails was way too much, taking up too much space.

So I started deleting them on the phone. Now they are gone from my google account as well.

How do I delete the email on my Droid, but keep it on the Google server.

its my understanding that they are linked, what you do on one it will update on the other. i don't know i have at least 250 or so on mine no problems.

guys...I'm really curious and to the forum to the OP. Why so many email accounts?

well to be honest i'm just very lazy and hate deleting my emails. i go through it once a month or so...most of the time.
