Hello from Brazil
Hello everybody,
Congratulations on your forum!!! There are tons of information in here and I hope to learn a lot participating on your forum.
Since, I am from Brazil, I have a Motorola A853 Milestone 3G. I know that there are some mods that do not apply to my phone, but most of the information posted in here apply to Brazil also.
Best wishes,
Motta

I'm traveling to Brazil next week. Ilc have a Droid with unlimited data with Verizon. I'll be in Para (Santarem and Itiatuba). Question: will I be able to use my phone and the applications?

I am not sure that you are going to be able to use your phone in Brazil, since Droid is not available in Brazil. We have Milestone, instead, of Droid.
Additionally, we use GSM 900 Mhz and 1800 Mhz, instead of CDMA and GSM 850 and 1900 Mhz.
But, as usual, you will be able to use your apps through WiFi.
I have a friend that came from US and he uses his IPhone 3G normally in Brazil.
Sorry for this late answer and for not helping that much.
