Loving the DROID. I've had it for a little over 2 weeks. I just got the car dock and I was amazed when I used the Google Navigation for the first time!

Happy to have stuck with Verizon for a lil longer. I wanted the iPhone for the longest time, but AT&T's reception is terrible. =P

Hi! I'm new to this forum and to Droid. I'm a Mac user and former iPhone user. Love my Mac and loved the iPhone. AT&T, however, is a different issue. Their service is BAD! Thus, I purchased my Droid between Christmas and New Year.

Still learning how the device works. Hopefully, I will be able to learn and share with everyone in this forum

Hi, I'm Jim and got my Droid on Nov. 9th. I wish I would have found and joined this forum earlier - what a wealth of fascinating knowledge. This little slab of technology does some amazing things and seems to be incredibly durable as well - in two months it has been dropped from a chairlift and immersed in a mug of beer, so... I think I found the phone that suits my personality!

On a personal note, I a retiree of the National Park Service and now spend most of my free time skiing, cycling and revising database apps that I wrote for my former employer. Not bad to have a leg-up on the code before you even start!

Greetings, my first foray into a smart phone. Just bought the Moto Droid the other day and am just getting to know the phone. I appreciate forums where a person can lurk and learn, and even post for replies. I hope to glean a lot of useful info here. Thanks everyone for the welcome.

I'm very new to Droid, just switched from Blackberry Pearl 8130, loved my Pearl but wanted more fun in my phone, hopefully I'll learn to use Droid before my kids do, LOL

Philip here... got a BOGO yesterday at Verizon. I started out with the old Motorola brick way back. Got the PDA smartphone I (black green screen) then the smartphone II (color)
Fell in love with son's Iphone & vowed to get one as soon as V came out with them, and here I am. I have a mobile broadband card I am ditching in 2 weeks (out of contract) & can't wait to tether.

Hello! I'm a droid user and it is pretty fantastic; but some of the bugs I've seen lately have been super annoying and I'm trying to figure out how to fix 'em.

Well I never had a smartphone just the typical phones throughout my life. First phone was from Motorola actually then it went to a nextel phone to a sidekick. From there I went to Verizon with the voyager. That phone was pretty cool and loved it at the time. I always had friends and family who did have smartphones and a sister who has and still does have an iphone. Before the droid even came out I was thinking to switching the Att and getting the iphone but when I seen the droid on tv and read about it, I had to get it. I loved Verizon's service as in coverage and all but really wanted an iphone for some time now but didn't what to switch really. So, I took my chances and went with the Droid and I'm glad I did. I love this phone and can't live without it or leave home without as well.
