I am also new to the forum as well as Android devices in general. I purchased a Thunderbolt last week and so far it's great. This is a pretty noticeable upgrade from my old iPhone 3G.

I browsed a few of the threads here and thought I would join since most members seem very friendly and helpful. I look forward to getting to know the forum community better.

So I started 4 yrs ago with blackberry curve, then moved to the Droid and fell in love. So much that I quickly moved to the X. I am still trying to figure out all that this thing can do. Hoping you all can help me out.

I currently have a Blackberry curve and plan on updating in about a month. Have some friends who have Droids and am sure that's what I'm getting, I just have to decide which one. Leaning towards the Droid X and want to learn about them before buying. I have been reading here for a couple days and this is a great sight.

I am currently on my second droid, but new to the droid forum. My first droid was the Moto Droid, by current phone is the Droid 2 Global. What a difference. I live in northeast Ohio, travel extensively, and enjoy the ability to have everything from my contacts, my travel plans, my music and something to read all in one place. I am looking forward to perusing the forums to see what tricks I can pick up. I am also looking for some answers as I migrate to my new phone.

I am a devoted PDA user - 2 or 3 HPs at first and an Axim for the past several years - and vowed not to switch to a smartphone until they were at least comparable. Well, they've come a long ways but truth is, there's NO WHERE to get information, updates, or fixes for my wonderful Axim any more and I miss the conversations I had with fellow PDA devotees. So I guess it's time. I just want to find something I can be as happy with as my PDA so I'm here to research and compare.
