Howdy!
I was prompted to create a new thread. Hello everyone! I started using Linux a while ago and got into it but I wasn't into new phones at all. I thought they were dumb, then I realized all the things I could play with. I bought my sister a new android tablet, rooted, played with and suped it up and gave it away.
Afterwards, I wanted MORE grrr  lol So, I've been playing with everyones android phones/tablets that I could get my hands on and suping them up. My current side project is a Verizon model i110.03 model SCH-I110 along with a galaxy s 2 and a newer droid, not sure of the model, running the 4.0.4 ics 3.0.8rom..
I'm at a loss on this i110.03 on rooting, with firmware 2.3.6 and kernel 2.6.35.7, do I need to backflash the kernel and toss around some lines in sdk? Or is there a simple zip to sd to flash firmware via extsd? And is there a zip flash custom rom from sd for 4.0.4ics(I suppose you'd need to know the model, I'll take a look at it later)? I can't find my cable, is the main reason I'm asking. Maybe this newcomer thread is too long... Anyhow! I'm glad to join the party and hope you guys welcome me. :happy3:
