    Newbie Tech Neanderthal

    Hello,

    I am, in general, pretty useless on tech matters. So, with that introduction, I have a Droid Charge with Verizon and have some basic questions (it does have Gingerbread). 1. I don't even know which "forum" to follow "X" etc 2. Glass cracked. How to fix? I have insurance but there is a $100 deductible. Must be a better way 3. Device is really slow. I did the Task Manager thing and no applications running, RAM at 288MB of 373 and Personal data storage at .95GB of 1.17, External SD at 65.66 MB of 101 and External SD at 1.17GB of 29.71. Seems obvious that more stuff needs to go to external. How? 4. Rooting? What is it? Why do it?
