    Just here to learn :)

    Hi everybody,
Just stumbled upon this forum when doing some online searching... my contract with Verizon is up for renewal, and I don't know which droid I want to get next! I have the very first one and really love it, but always love the idea of trying something a bit new. If anyone has a strong opinion about which Droid you think is the BEST, I'd love to hear it... the Razr is too big for me, but don't really know a whole lot about the others. Want to keep it fairly small, do like having an actual keyboard if it's available, but that's not critical. Would love some input. Thanks! Glad to be a part of this forum!

Welcome aboard meg! The best Droid to own is the one that you prefer

To be perfectly honest they are all great devices. It really comes down to preference. The RAZR doesn't work for you but it works perfectly for me. The Droid 3 works perfectly for this girl but it doesn't for that girl. At the end of the day they are all Android devices and fantastic handsets.

Enjoy the forums and again welcome aboard!

Welcome to DF meg!! Like CK said they all have something for everyone. Best thing to do is go down to your local VZW store (or as I refer to them the "toy store" lol) and try them out. See what feels good, read some reviews, and go from there.

I'd say the galaxy nexus would he the way to go as it will most likely be the best supported device in the coming years. However taking into consideration your issues with size and keyboard i would suggest you look at the Droid 3 or the Samsung fascinate. Both have physical keyboards and and 4" displays. I can't say either is actually smaller than the razor but their width may be less daunting for you. Neither will break the bank. The 3 has a snappy dual core processor and as a Motorola it will be more familiar to you. The fascinate has the gorgeous amoled display and 4 g speeds both of which I love on my samsung charge. Take some time and play with them in the vzw store, put them through some multitasking and see what works for you.
