I have just purchased an unlocked Sensation. It shows it has registered on the network, but will not make or receive calls/texts etc. Any ideas?
Welcome! Good to have you with us. Sorry you are having issues. I'm not familiar with your particular phone so I'm not sure how you are seeing the phone being registered.
You do not mention where you purchased the phone. Perhaps a call to the sell or VZW will clarify.
Let us know how you resolve.
Forgive your enemies it messes with their minds!
welcome to the forum, definitely pay a visit to the store. I would think a better answer will come from them

Guys any one using silicon case for htc sensation as it has now started creating pain in my arse, well its been a month from the day i bought a new sensation and jst 2 weeks ago i bought a silicon case but it seems this is where i have made a mistake and risked the phone (so far i have used silicon cases for my previous phones too and i prefer silicon cases but i haven't ever encountered such a prob with any of the silicon cases previously). After looking some of the htc sensation cases finally i decided to go with a silicon case without concerning abt cutouts for noise cancelling mics and also the antenna holes those which pretty remained covered (even the side cutouts for the usb port and jack were not molded and appear to be stamped out for lack of a better term) thinking phone to be pretty good with its advanced technology wont create any prob however later i found it did affected signal reception much.
Eventually i had to use the phone without a case (spending £50 on this particular case pretty bothered me at back of mind) hence i created holes for antenna manually and there after i used the phone with it which quite easily seemed to catch signals. But to my surprise after using the phone for a week with holes i started facing battery problems. I took it to a friend of mine who has a retail mobile shop who jst replaced it with a new battery thinking it to be battery fault. However 3 days ago after using it jst for an hour my phone started to reboot automatically. Again i took it to my frnd and again he tried replacing a battery but it didn't work.
Lastly i was compelled to contact HTC yesterday regarding the same and they told me it is the case without proper ventilation which generates heat that have damaged the phone's battery compartment. Well after hearing this from htc i am shocked to know abt casing which could create such a problem or are they playing with me without having to accept the phone being faulty right from the beginning.
Guys what do you think...?Huh
