About LinkBacksWell im new to the forum but had my phone for a while. I would like to root my droid 2 but really don't understand how to do it. I have been looking on the forum but still i am lost. Is there anyone that can help with the process.

03-20-2011 08:35 AMMake sure your phone is fully charged or plug it into a charger. Then install and run z4root.

03-20-2011 09:11 AMIf you used your pc to download it, use the usb to transfer it to the sd on your phone. Just place it on the root of your sd (not in any folder). Then use astro to find it and install it.

03-20-2011 09:20 AMMy computer internet is messed up so I was hoping to us my phone, is it still possible. Oh and the z4root app, what site did you get it from and the app you said about opening it.

03-20-2011 09:30 AMGoogle "z4root xda". Once downloaded, if you use the stock browser, it will be on the sd in the downloads folder. You can get astro files explorer & droid 2 bootstraps from the android market.

03-20-2011 11:46 AMWill any bootstrap work. I noticed that there were a few to choose from. I downloaded the z4root app as well as astro file manager. What next
