Hey,
Im photoman and I have a eris from verizon. looking for help to spped up the phone. Thinking about defecting to verizon I phone. Any reason to stay with droid. The thing I want most is a dockable phone to all the cool looking things that are out their, i.e. cars and speaker sets. Any thoughts?

since this is a forum for Droid enthusiasts, you probably won't find a lot of recommendations for the iP4. besides, in the end, it comes down to finding the best phone for you, and your specific needs. there isn't much, if anything, that the iP can do which a Droid can't. You might want to take a look at the HTC Thunderbolt (coming out soon, if it's not delayed again), the Moto Atrix (on AT&T), or the Moto Bionic (on VZW). some really cool Andy devices coming down the pike, and i personally think 2011 is going to be a pretty banner year!

I had a chance to upgrade this morning, but when it came time to hit the confirm button, I just couldn’t pull the trigger. I like the droid platform I’m just tired of my Eris, the “stupid smart phone” Thought about getting the Incredible, but after looking at HTC’s site allot of people had trouble with it. Now looking at a Motorola 2, or the X. Any thoughts?

A lot of people, myself included, are waiting on the HTC Thunderbolt to be released, which should be this month.

If you are looking to be able to dock a phone to all kinds of stereo/alarm clock type of devices, there isnt much out there other than the iphone.

welcome to the forum. as husker said, its what phone works for u. definitely try them out when available. Bionic might be a good choice too.
