10-23-2011 09:13 PMDepends on the TV. I have a Samsung and there is an app in the market that works like the full remote. It operates through WiFi. Doesn't do anything for the cable box, so it's real world use is limited, since it won't change the channels.

10-23-2011 11:57 PMIf you have GoogleTV it can be used. Maybe even DirectTV has an app.
A tradition remote uses IR, Xoom isn't equipped with it. -

11-01-2011 06:46 AMi dont remember what its called but theres an infrared controller you can buy and hook to pc and it will control any IR device via wifi

11-09-2011 08:00 PMI discovered something new tonight. Using the Samsung TV Remote app on my Xoom, I am able to turn on and operate my Sony BluRay player through Anynet+ . Doesn't seem like much, but it's pretty convenient, and kinda cool.
