About LinkBacksIf i were to buy the Motorola Xoom from motorola's website would need to be on a data plan with verizon or can i just buy the device with out a data plan?

02-27-2011 06:50 PMYou do not need a data plan to buy or use the xoom, wifi works either way. You do however save $200 if you sign up for a two year contact

02-27-2011 07:08 PMBest Buy, Motorola, and Verizon (I think) all sell the Xoom off-contract. However, if you wait a couple months the WiFi-only version will hit for $600. Also, the Xoom isn't even shipping with the 4G modem, so if you want 4G in the future you'll have to ship it off to Motorola to have it installed at some future date.
