Speaker Cleaning
Did you guys notice how the speaker on the Milestone/Droid gets dirty, it's like a magnet for dust and lint, and once it's in there, it won't come out...
I just found a little trick to clean it out:
1- Just grab a little amout of "fun-tak" or any other sticky putty.
2- Push it into the speaker hole, and the dust will come out with it when you remove it.
3- Rince and repeat
I was so glad to finally get it clean, that I had to share it.

What do you mean?
I posted it here and on Android Forums, that's hardly cross posting...
I googled it and didn't find that trick anywhere so I thought I'd share.
Anyway I know now, not to waste your precious time.
Thanks.

The dust I have an issue with is the speaker on the front, is this the one you meant or did you use it on the gold grill in the rear?

Yes, that's the one I was talking about, it really seems to stick to the "grill" when it gets in there. I tried compressed air, but that didn't do it and I was afraid to damage something.
The fun-tak works really good.

i want to do this, but concerned about ungluing the fabric cover from the phone ....
i usually use compressed air bottle in all the orifices of the phone every couple of days as part of a cleaning ....

I've been doing it every morning when I get in to work since last week, and nothing has come undone. Actually I didn't know it was cloth, I assumed it was metal or plastic.

My wife gave me a small "tester brush" from some markup, works on front ear slot perfectly. . .
