does the screen scratch easily, or is it one of those devices where its really hard to scratch it
Most people say that it is really hard to scratch. Some people have reported that just being in their pocket (supposedly) that it scratched.
Me personally, I'm not interested in finding out, so I have a screen protector on it. Rarely do I even notice that the protector is there.
Scratched mine when I first got it.. I believe it was from cleaning the screen on my jeans... I need to get a microfiber cloth.. ugh
It is gorilla glass, so it should be hard to scratch, i have had a BSE on mine since day one anyway... i don't want to take any chances.
I'll second Matth3w.
I have mine in a case with a screen protector. After I learned it had gorilla glass, I took the protector off for about 20 minutes before OCD kicked back in and I put another one back on.
Like the others said, I don't want to take a chance.
Would you walk around a construction site without a hard hat? is how I see it.
Plus I honestly never notice that the screen protector is on there anyhow. The VZW screen protector that I have isn't exactly scratching either, so it doesn't look like crap.
Glass is very strong you can hit it with something hard and it won't scratch but you can also break it with a soft tap.
Screen protector, hard case with a holster. Not taking the chance. ..
Yeah I would say the screen is kinda hard to scratch...I dropped mine within the first week I got the thing...fell off my lap face first on the screen onto pavement and SLID like 2 feet![]()
No scratch on the screen though...barely even tiny little knicks around the screen though
It doesnt scratch too easily, but I'm all for protecting one's investment.
The VWZ screen protectors work fine, but they're not cut to leave the surface completely smooth -- the tough buttons at the bottom, and the LED and light sensors have cutouts.
I use the Steinheil Crystal, from SGPStore.com -- it fully covers the screen, and you cant even tell it's on unless you are looking hard -- they're 2 for 10, rather than VZW's 3 for 10, but I havent once yet wanted to take this one off, and I suspect it'll stay in place for a few months.
