Appling ROM updates

This is a discussion on Appling ROM updates within the Motorola Milestone forums, part of the Android Smart Phones category; Hi, When installing updted ROMs, do the caches have to be wiped each time? I ask thissince once one does this all settings, WI-FI, etc ...

    Appling ROM updates

    Hi,

    When installing updted ROMs, do the caches have to be wiped each time? I ask thissince once one does this all settings, WI-FI, etc need to be setup again. My question is can't these updates be designed to hold users settings/details as an option as with most other updates, ex: OS updates?
