Well; I am about to file my insurance claim because I dropped my phone and broke my screen.
Is there anyway to get a Droid X as a replacement?

Doubtful but it depends on the Asurion rep that you talk to.

From what I read and heard assurion was stocking up on droid phones including DX, now if u had a DX I dont see why u should have an issue as long as they have it in stock...

I Just got my replacement today and it's the orignal droid. They said they have lot of them instock.
A lot of people have abused insurance as a way of obtaining free upgrades. Good luck with it. Don't count on it if they have your model in stock. If you want the Droid X then shell out for it. Consider going used if price is an issue but be aware of the caveats. IIRC, Verizon also sells CLNR's for a discount.
No but it is accurate.
