accessing my linksys camera
I have a Linksys wvc54g camera on my wireless network in my home. I would like to be able to access that camera with my Droid. That camera has its own server built in and I can access it from the internet using my web address. My problem is that the first time that you access it with a computer, it says that you need to download the linksys viewer. I would like to know how to do that with the Droid. Thanks in advance

Does linksys make one that is android compatible?
A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.

A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any invention in human history - with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila.

As far as I know this camera should be accessable to any machine that can access the internet.

Look for IP Cam Viewer in the market.

I read that too about flash player not being available (maybe) till the middle of 2010. Here is the message that I get when I try to access my camera for the first time on a computer. You have to install "Netplayerweb11g2 Activex". I assume that I would need that file on my Droid also. I agree also that I probably need flash player on my Droid even tho I am not sure why. I was hopeing that the Droid was the awnser to my security problems.

I think the problem is less that the Droid won't support the camera than the camera uses a non-standard video format. I've found that the WVC54GC was a bad choice and probably the most non-standard camera on the market.

RTSP Player is the solution
The Linksys WVC54g and WVC80N both support the real time streaming protocol (RTSP://). If you download an RTSP player from the drid market, I use the DOGA PLAYER, then configure your camera to be accessible via this protocol, you can connect directly to it from the Droid.
