    Problem removing icons from home screen

    I cannot get unwanted icons to dissappear from my home screen. I long press on the icon, drag to the trash can, they both glow red..............and then, the icon still lives on! HELP!!!!

    You might be inadvertantly moving your finger when you let go of the icon. You don't have to press down very hard at all, maybe if you try using less pressure, when you drag, and take care to lift straight up when you release your finger.

    If not, that is a weird problem. Start with a restart of your device. Rebooting fixes a multitude of problems.

    Is a restart just a matter of shutting the phone off, then turning it back on?

    yes (if you really wanted to make sure, you could take out the battery after shutting it off, but restart is just turning off then back on)

    Did the shutdown, battery pull, and still the same sitiation...............Don't get it. Software issue I guess.
