i would love to root my phone..but so many different ways to do so..i would like to knw the pros and cons..i have a droid x, and would like to run liberty rom. and only reason i would like to "root" it is bc i was told u can basicly modify to ur liking.. like i just want my phone to run faster, w no hiccups. i currrently do not use it as a cell phone, only via wifi. Does it matter? please sumone help!

I'd like to root my phone again, but this thread needs updating and confirmed that the process still works. It would be fun to check out some of the new roms and what not.
