PLEASE HELP!! Need help putting phone back to normal...
Ok here's my story...
1.) I rooted my Droid via EasyRoot running stock 2.1.
2.) I upgraded to 2.2. OTA, I lost root access and want to uninstall it.
I did factory reset and it let me do *228, WiFi, and Camera, but it still shows the icon for SuperUser Permissions. I want to get rid of the icon, but when I go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > SuperUser Permissions, it won't let me Uninstall it.
Is there a way to delete the app when I mount my phone to my computer?
(I really don't want to go through the Update.zip and .sbf files with RSD Lite)
Thanks

So you want to go completely back to stock?

Well, I want to stay on 2.2 but just get rid of the SuperUser Permissions icon in the apps.

This may work but you will have to reinstall stock 2.2
Alternative back to stock (update.zip method):
- Visit http://rescue.macleod-web.net > navigate to the update_zip_files folder and download the unroot_2.01_update.zip file
- rename the downloaded file to update.zip (if you don't see the .zip in the downloaded filename don't add it because the file extensions are hidden from you.)
- mount Droid to computer
- copy file from computer to root of sdcard
- unmount card from computer
- hold X while rebooting until SPRecovery screen comes up
- install
- allow update.zip
- install /sdcard/update.zip (depreciated)
credit to rootyourdroid.info for the update.zip file
You now are on stock 2.01. None of your data or market apps from your previous installation have been removed. (setcpu, root manager, etc will still exist)
compliments of Christim, here is the link
SBF to root and to unroot
Thunderbolt
Why Root? - Because I Can

Oh and I forgot to mention, I don't have SPRecovery for some reason.

You can download ROM Manager via The Market, go back to 2.0.1 with it, and just get the OTA to go back to 2.2.

I don't have Root Access. When I upgraded to 2.2, it messed everything up.

You are going to have to the SBF thing linked in Gate's signature: SBF to root and to unroot
