    Droid replacement likelihood

I have owned my Droid 1 since about April, and have always had problems with the loose headphone jack (it improved slightly after 2.1 released, less static, but still roars with static if the jack is touched while plugged in) and recently noticed dust accumulating under the glass near the corners of the screen.

Has anyone had any luck returning their phone to Verizon for a replacement for things this minor? My wife swapped hers out about 2 months ago because the mic stopped responding, but do you think they would replace for the issues I've been having?

i just got my replacement in the mail today because of the issues i was having.. i purchased my phone brand new w/receipts etc from craigslist.

i still pay for insurance and i made sure when i told the rep about my issues i included the bubbled keypad, sending text to wrong ppl, and the roaring issue with the jack(which were all true). at first it was obvious the rep didnt believe me b/c she wouldnt send a replacement. so i drove to my nearest vzw store and had to physically show the rep all the issues i was having.

it got to the point where i even had to go out to my car and plug my phone into the aux jack let him hear the roaring and frequently pausing of the music w/the slightest movement. about 10 mins later he was asking for my info to ship the phone..
a person like myself who didnt purchase my phone from verizon , presented my issues and received a different phone you should be able to do so as well.

    hope i helped some

ROFL - I just received a replacement on friday for something as small as the fact that it could not ''find itself'' in google maps - ''find my location'' - very frustrating seeing as i use navigation on a daily basis (it kept trying to put me in the middle of Lake Ontario as my location LOL) - and supposedly the update is supposed to ''fix'' some of the google maps issues that may folks have........ so what the hey - worth a try for a replacement...
