ADB is the part of the Android SDK, and can also load the files directly.
So just load it to the SD card without unzipping and use SPRecovery to install?

Or unzip as I mentioned, put the files in one folder and do a restore from Nandroid?

No, using ADB you actually mount the droid system directory and place the files (pushing) where needed while it's conneced to your computer.

I'm a little worried about this thing pestering me every 30 minutes. I hope a work-around actually works if we need it.

Here's what will happen, we'll be updating to a new ROM based upon the OTA release if nothing else. But I'm not worried about it nagging, likely not going to happen, I've never received any of them ...

Again, and I've said this before I still don't know what ADB is. Is it for a PC because I use a Mac. Or is this on my Droid already.

Hook - ADB is a tool that is a part of the Android SDK that you load on a PC, Mac or Linux machine. You can download the SDK from:

Thanks for the answer. I see it and it wrote something to terminal in my Mac. I still have no idea what it's for.

What if running a clean rooted 2.1?

I dont want a custom rom, just a clean rooted 2.2. How will I get there from here? Just wait till someone has a clean rooted 2.2 and install with spr?

Yes, you could do that, Chevy and a few others have released untouched rooted ROMS for those of us who want them, I'm sure they'll have that in the first week after release.
