Droid v. Blackberry

Thanks for all the helpful advice you guys. My mom has a phone with SouthernLinc if anyone even knows what Network that is. We live in Alabama. We can't get reception with AT&T where we live, so no IPhone. She loves her Facebook, and e-mails like crazy, while also doing business. I guess my main question was how fast the BB is online with a PC, so that she wouldn't have to have that internet card thing (still don't know what it's called ) and have a separate phone bill and enjoy all of the features that come along with Verizon.

I guess it all depends on location, service etc.
as for the phone i have never noticed a difference when "tethering" That all depends on what i mentioned. 3g, edge etc.

Storm is not my only experience with Blackberry. Wife had the Blackberry Curve. Not even in the same league with a Storm and I've already demonstrated how I felt about the Storm.

Hi, this might sound crazy to all of the Droid lovers, but I want to get my mom some sort of smartphone for Mother's Day and I'm trying to find out what would suit her best. I love my Droid, but she uses her laptop most of the time for Facebook, she also uploads pix from her digital camera to her laptop. She uses her computer for many different things. At this time, she is using the Verizon chip thing (can't think of what it's called) for internet on the laptop. Can't you connect to the internet thru the Blackberry? Is it as fast as her chip thing? Btw, the owns her own business and constantly checks her e-mail. Someone please advise.
