Battery Saving tips
Hey guys I didn't see a thread for this.
Can you guys post the best ways to increase battery life?
I have heard good things about task killers and apps like juice defender
but then I hear bad things. Everyone is just stating their opinion with no facts.
If you guys are willing, please share your tips on how to save battery.

OK, my battery lasts 4 times longer now. No joke!
go to this post...as u get deeper into it, a great debate starts...i think on one of the replies theres a link about battery life and stuff...hope this helps...simple things to conserve battery wud keeping ur screen brightness on a low level, not having ringtones and notifications on full blast, and jus do things like putting ur fone to sleep immediately after use instead of letting it stay on another minute before the screen goes off...u can get a task killer like apollo task killer or advanced task killer but beware, i forgot who mentioned it on this forum but task killers can cause OCD...hehe

I'm getting almost twice the battery life just from the switch to 2.1.

Turn off GPS when not needed.
Keep your screen brightness low.
Use less active Widgets or increase you widget update duration.
Use a standard wallpaper verses live wallpapers.
Turn your wifi or Bluetooth off when not using them.
Power control widget is your friend.
All these have helped me get longer runs out of my charges.

Just wanted to point out that there is no need to turn GPS off. It will only run and use battery when an app is actively using the GPS. You can tell when it's running because there will be the GPS satellite icon in the notification bar.
