Email Notification

Just got my Droid, but I'm not getting emails in my status bar. I get messages and everything else, but not emails. I have the box checked to notify me of emails, but I'm still not getting anything.

Anyone know what's up?

yea happens to me too...dont know what the problem is either
I have a Yahoo! account though if that makes a difference

I get emails and notifications fine for perhaps most of the day then they stop without any notice. I have to reboot the phone to get them started coming again. Very frustrating! Anyone know how to solve this?

Which email program? Stock email, k9, gmail?

The stock email client is broken. Use k9. Really, no one should use the stock client.

Sometimes wifi can cause the email clients to seize up. I thought this was fixed in 2.1, but maybe not. Are you using wifi?

OK, I'll go to Market and get K9. I'm on wifi now but not sure this is the only time this happens but I am on wifi a good bit.

I use gmail and still have problems with notifications since 2.1

Seems there is no rhyme or reason when this is going to happen. I also frequently get "loading messages....", "loading messages....", "loading messages...." and nothing ever seems to load. I have to turn it off and reboot. Guess I could give it lots more time to see if anything ever loads but I'm too impatient for that!

Notifications seem to come in fine on my phone. I use the stock email app. Then again I font receive tons of emails.
