Droid tether to iPod touch

Don't you need root for that to work? Either way, that's the best option for tethering IMO.

Thanks for joining in the thread. What means of "connecting' did you use to thether please. Earlier notes made mention of the necessity of using a lap top as a go between and it didn't think that was part of the equation. Was "rooting" your droid really that simple? Thanks, Jim

WiFi Tether requires root (and a kernel that supports it, I think). The easiest way to root is DroidMod (droidmod.org). Download an app, install it, and follow it's instructions.

i found a video on youtube for rooting and cyanogen and followed everything. and done, and downloaded wireless teather for teathering. and now my ipod touch reads from wifi from my droid.

I agree, rooting was much easier than I thought it would be. Was afraid of messing up my phone, but it went quickly and painlessly. Wifitether was a breeze as well. Now using it and have two laptops connected and downloading at the same time. Droidforums.net has been great to me. If you aren't yet supporting, please do so. I would hate to lose such a valuable resource.
