    Factory default with purchased Apps

A few weeks again my friend sent me a text, now I keep getting it. 6-7 times a day I will get the same message out of the blue. I can't figure out why.

    So..

I need to factory default my phone, but I have purchased apps. Will I have to buy them again?

Unless there is a suggestion on the original problem.

Purchased apps are attached to your account. You also can use Astro to back up your apps to your card to make it easier to reinstall after the reset if need be. An app you purchase now is also good on your next phone, because it is tied to your account, not your phone.

If you apply a rom or theme - backup first!
If you don't know how to backup...Stop until you do.
hint: I name my backups like this: sg6.0_20100428 or ss4.2_20100626 to easily find them later. rom and date.

Some paid app keys are not able to be backed up, But you can redownload them from the market.

I use Handcent. Could it be doing this? I want a factory default to be my last resort.
