I use it and it works great. I have not had the phone stolen so that part I did not get to test yet thankfully.
As for battery drain I did not notice any. There was just a recent update too that added a couple more features as well.
I deleted all my contacts and used the wave secure app to restore them and it worked great as well.
Over all I am happy with it.
Great App, I switched to it back in Jan and it's been exactly what they say it is.
No battery drain here.

brilliant - thank you so much - really appreciate it x
No battery drain that I have noticed. Provides a warm, and free, sense of security.
great app, won't drain your battery. Download it, set it all up, then forget about it until you need to use it.
is it easy to set up? i'm a newbie!
BUT LOVING ANDROID!!!![]()
oh yes, and are there any charges?
YES. WaveSecure is based in Singapore so every time you send a command to your phone (track, lock, etc.) it charges you 20 cents for an international text message (NOT included in unlimited text plans.)
Luckily I figured this out early and use Mobile Defense instead. Mobile Defense doesn't let you wipe/backup data like WaveSecure, but you can track and lock remotely, as well as install it as a system app so it is not visible and not uninstallable from the phone
