    Asurion Replacement

I left my phone on the bumper of my truck and drove away, I then found it run over a billion times........anyway, does anyone know if Asurion ships the replacement phone with a memory card?? I was unable to find mine.

IMO they should since this is standard equipment when you buy it brand new.

ii) airtime usage was logged on such device on
your account with the Wireless Service Provider
immediately prior to the time of loss.

Netbook power cord and one standard battery.
The Verizon HUB may also be insured as Covered
Property under this policy. Accessories for the
Verizon HUB are covered by this policy if a) such
accessory was packaged in the same box with the

    as Covered Property.
    e. Property that has been entrusted to (including
to and from) others for any service, repair or
    replacement, other than Asurion Insurance

    f. Any fees or charges assessed by Verizon Wireless,
whether the charges incurred are legitimate or

^ From the Asurion brochure, so I'm guessing the SD card would fall under the bolded part as not covered.

A few people have posted that they did indeed get a card in their replacement. A few also said they returned their old device w/o the original and never heard anything about it (i.e. they got an extra card for free, well... for $89, lol). If not check online you can find a 16G class 6 for <$50 if you shop around.

Technically I don't think they are supposed to give it to you, but oh well. Call Asurion and ask...

I did call and they weren't helpful. He said that he wasn't sure if they did ship with cards so he didn't want to say yes no because he didn't want me to call back and be upset if he was wrong.

i think all these phones come with the SD actually installed from the manufacture. so when they send out the phone, i would assume you would have the chip in there.. or else the droid would kinda be useless so to speak. yea with the insurance, keep your SDcard and most likely you'd get another one.. they make so much damn money they dont care anyway

The only ones I know of that have no sd card are where the yahoos at the verizon store were scamming them outta the phones, putting in cheaper smaller cards and selling them on ebay. Not 100% sure but I would guess they ship with sd card ?

I got a replacement Droid and they told me to keep the one I had because my replacement doesn't come with one.

It will likely depend on whether you get a new one of a refurbished one. If they are still sending new ones than it likely will as the units are coming from Moto (likely with the cards installed). If it's a refurb than probably not as Asurion sends the phones out for refurbishing and then gets them back stripped down.

Let us know (also let us know if it's a new unit or a refurb, they are required to tell you when you call and they put in the claim).
