OK. I spent the better part of 4 hours rooting my phone. I would do a part and read about the next part and so on. Anyways, its done. I used this guide:
Start Here | Root Your Droid
My question is...now that I am rooted, what do I do? What are some cool things I can do? What do you all recommend I do first? I like being able to customize so where do I start?
Man...............I'm not being mean...I swear....but there is a TON of info on this very specific topic!! Search around a little bit...it won't take much searching I promise you that...
PS: And by the way, that is a great site for beginners looking to start hacking their Droid
I am searching now I promise...I'm just trying to figure out what is info and what is just general discussions...
drocap2 to take screen shots.
Root Explorer to explore files on the phone
Is Root Explorer better than Astro?

That site takes you through everything including OverClocking... if you follow all the guide the only thing left that you would likely want to do is flash a custom ROM (if they didn't include that today, I haven't checked but it was in the works).
I recommend BB:
AllDroid - View topic - [ROM] Bugless Beast V0.7.5 (2/10/10)
Me too...and if you want to install it, just check out the guide I wrote in my signature.
You will find most of what can be done with root in the Hacks forum. Take a look at the sticky threads there to start.
I have a question...I installed Home++ before I rooted and am having issues with it FCing on me...does it need to be reinstalled? And with regards to BB, is it just a theme? More or less?
