About LinkBacksHave had phone since early November. Love it. But recently I have found that the microphone does not pick up my voice when in speakerphone mode. People can hear me when in the standard mode, but as soon as I switch to the speakerphone, they can't hear me.
Anyone have this problem? Any suggestions on troubleshooting? I do NOT have a case on the phone.

02-09-2010 01:44 PMI have been searching for a solution to this for weeks to no avail. Hopefully they will work out a way to bypass it soon, since it renders my car dock far less useful than it could be.

to the forum. With that said the only solution I have for you for this issue would be to try a battery pull, but that would be a shot in the dark. Hopefully someone comes up with a better answer.

Every day on my drive home, I simply call my wife, then while the phone is ringing, I tap on the "Speaker" button on the screen, then I slide the Droid into my shirt pocket.
I hear her loud and clear, and she hears me just fine as well!
Do you mean that an external microphone (plugged in through the 3.5mm jack) doesn't work?!

02-09-2010 10:54 PMSorry I wasn't more clear. Its the built-in microphone. Works fine on a normal call. But when I try to use the speakerphone feature, the people on the other end of the call cannot hear me.
So the built-in mike is working, just not in speakerphone mode. I will try a reboot and then a battery remove to see if that helps. -

02-11-2010 09:41 AMRebooting took care of the problem. After turning the Droid off and then on again, the mike problem has gone away.
Seems like that is the solution for many gremlins. Thanks for the suggestions.
If I have any more problems, I'll reboot or battery pull before posting for help! -

Motorola DROID Speaker phone mode
Yes, it is happening to my phone exactely same way.
I restarted the device 2 times (with pull out its battery too), but it still not resolve the problem. I think time to call Tech support or a new phone (i guess).Last edited by minhdi_62; 03-22-2010 at 07:57 PM. Reason: Add more detail
