Option 3 no longer exists. It's done through option 1, the same as doing the initial OTA programming.

Goes to show how long it's been for me. Thanks for the update.

Just to update everyone, as I said that I would, I received the phone this weekend. The process was simply making the phone call on the new phone in order to activate it. I only needed to provide the phone number that the service was for, and the last four digits of my SS. Quite painless. Thanks for the replies, everyone!

Really, there's no need to thank me for such a simple courtesy. As much assistance and information as I have received from this forum, it's the very least I could do. Thanks again for the help.

Actually at least 90% of the time nobody follows up. So we're left to wonder if they got it fixed, or if so how, or if they are like so many who expect replies within 15 minutes and when none are forthcoming get mad and sulk off.

I'm surprised by that, but I guess I shouldn't be. I'll be sure to keep that in mind if I should ask for any other help. So far, all is going well with the new A855.

By the way, teddyearp, I read your Motorola A855 Guides. Good stuff.

Thank you. I started them way way back about the time the phone was released, before rootyourdroid.info and the host of others. I just never made as much noise about them.
