Reboot into recovory on my og droid?

Its a dumb? I know.. how do i boot og droid 2.2.3 into recovory..

Turn your phone off. Slide the keyboard open and hold down x while you power it on. I think you have to hold down x until you see the Motorola logo.

Done that alot just goes to the! Triangle..

That is recovery. If you're seeing that though, it means you haven't flashed a custom recovery.

Its been so long since I used the stock recovery. But after you see the triangle, it either, volume down + camera or volume up + camera button. If that dont work, I'll flash my old D1 back to stock & check it for you. But what you are seeing is the stock recovery.

Just flash clockwork recovery.

I just flashed clockwork, now I try the X button reboot and I just hang on the "M" and then it resets again and boots regular.
