Installing HTC Evo 4g apps on Droid 1?

Excuse me. I'm new to all this. Just wondering if someone can help me or at least point me in the right direction.

Is it possible to move system apps between Roms? by simply moving/coping the apk file from one device to another?

I rooted my Droid and install CM7. with chevyno1 kernel. i like it and everything runs smooth. Except, I don't like the email app and the phone app that are in CM7. and don't like any of the ones in the market. the best apps I liked are the HTC evo stock email and phone apps.

I extracted those apps from my brother's evo but now how can I install them on my Droid CM7? is there a way to do that? or has anyone done that before?
I googled the net for hours but can't find an answer!
