    muffled/distant voice complaints

this is my 2nd droid because I thought there was a voice problem with my first droid.

The problem is when I am talking to people they can hardly understand what I am saying, either I sound far away or muffled, and sometimes my words come out sounding very computerized?

I should also mention that this usually happens when I am in my home office where there is a wireless router present.

My phone works fine. The only thing I can suggest is to refresh your prl. For some reason this seems to solve many phone issues. Dial *228 option 2. Other then that its back to Verizon for #3.

You could reprogram the phone to adjust the call compression.

    Press ##7764726 and press Send.

000000 (six zeroes) is the SPC password. Click verify.

    Press 04 for Vocode.

Then select EVRC-B and then apply.

Back out and the phone will reset.

You can always go back to EVRC is this still doesn't work for you.

My droid is completely nude, I only notice this problem when I'm anywhere near my home office. I did the roaming reset but since I'm not home I can't say yet if that fixed this issue.

I tried the evcr-b method with my first phone but that did not work, I will try that again if nothing works.

Changing the codec seems to work for outgoing, but does nothing for the poor quality incoming. Go below 2 bars and the static is awful. This is not specific to my droid. Even did a swap but same affect.
Also, if you change the codec and use in-car (factory) bluetooth, vehicle noise is loud and clear to the person on the other end and becomes unusable. Had this with my Infiniti and Honda. Had to change codec back in order to make bluetooth usable.
Take a look around the multiple forums and you'll see that droid call quality is poor.
