Loud Camera

I just got my Droid(YAYYY), but i've noticed that for one, the picture quality isn't that great, but i could live with that, but when i power up the camera, the phone makes a loud noise, like the pieces of the camera are rubbing together too much or something, is this common or do i need to get it replaced?

how loud? like a barely audible "squeeky squeeky"? or do you actually FEEL stuff rubbing together? they all squeek a bit. that's the lens moving

well i guess i should rephrase that, its not loud, but i've never actually heard a lens move that loud, this is a manly machine, so i guess it could just be part of it, kinda scared me at first. I would classify it as a "squeeky squeeky" i guess. just glad to hear that its a normal thing and nothing to worry about

That noise caught my attention as well when I first got my m-droid. Clicky sounds, like a dying HDD or something like that. The camera was performing well so I chalked it up normal operation.
