Mine has been over 75 miles off. It shows me in northern Arizona...when I live in southwest Phoenix...I use the weather portion of Beautiful Widgets and it shows snow...and it doesn't snow here...lol. I reported it on google's forums...which suck by the way...lol...so we'll see what kind of response I get. There are a LOT of issues on their pages.
when using the cell towers to find my location it's usually off by a bunch but once i turn on the GPS its pretty accurate. are u using the gps?
I am using the GPS...when I had the WiFi on...it only showed me a mile off. But with GPS...it shows me WAY off...I turned off Latitude...and that seems to be helping a little...seems a bit more accurate.
I have the same problem. I tried with and without GPS and it's the same. it's off by few miles. Is this a software issue or the GPS issue?
I would try following what this thread says. Let us know how it works out for you.
HOW TO: Calibrate your GPS for Google Maps for more accurate location
I had a problem yesterday where the GPS was off by 5-6 miles. I was also going south but it displayed as I was going east. I was on a road I have traveled down thousands of times so I knew the droid was wrong. I rebooted the droid and after it restarted it was exactly on right the remainder of the evening.
